Meredith Martin has been passionate about design almost her entire life. In the fifth grade, she decided she wanted to be an interior designer and she hasn't changed her mind since. Many hours were spent perfecting miniatures for Barbie's house and Christmas gifts usually consisted of computer space planning programs – just for fun.

Meredith graduated cum laude from Meredith College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in interior design and an art minor. An internship with a Raleigh design firm, a year spent working in a fabric + upholstery business and over five years of employment with a model home design firm prepared her to launch her own business. Despite her love for interiors, Meredith also developed a deep interest in wedding design after planning her own nuptials. Combining these two worlds seemed like the perfect fit and at the end of 2009 Martin Design Agency was born.

Meredith lives in Raleigh with her husband Chad (who contributes his artistic talent to MDA with web and print design) and their dog Rigby. She loves hunting for a great bargain, books, The Beatles, traveling anywhere, baking, the occasional tennis match, traditions and spending time with her friends + family.
